Mesitornithiformes
White-breasted Mesite
Mesitornithiformes, also called mesites, is an order of birds that contains only 3 species. All mesitornithiformes are native to Madagascar. These flightless birds nest in colonies in subdesert climates. Gregarious, friendly, and cooperative as a species, mesitorniformes even warn one another when danger approaches by hopping up off of the ground to a low branch.
